Born in Anne Arundel County, October 17, 1780. Son of John Worthington Dorsey and Comfort Worthington Dorsey. Attended St. John's College, Annapolis, graduated 1799; Studied law; admitted to the Maryland Bar, 1803. Married Milcah Goodwin; ten children (four sons and six daughters), born between 1809 and 1827. Probably Episcopalian. Resided near Ellicott City. Died December 26, 1855. Buried in St. John's Churchyard, Ellicott City, Howard County.
