Charles DORSEY was born in 1776 in Baltimore Co, MD.^1005,1006 He died on 27 October 1843 at the age of 67 in Hawesville, Hancock, KY.¹⁰⁰⁶ Anne Arundel Gentry p 104 and Genealogies of Kentucky Families, p 232: My father and mother, Charles and Lydia, was born and reared in the State of Maryland. My mother's maiden name was Dorsey, they were distantly connected. My father's mother's maiden name was Todd. The mother of my mother was Griffith, my father was reared by his brother in a wholesale and retail house in the city of Baltimore. Before the Rebolution after marriage he settled on a farm in Frederick County were he remained until 1787, when he with his family moved to the State of Kentucky.
