Jeremiah ROBERTS283 was born on 15 July 1803 in Albemarle Co, VA.284,285,286,287 He appeared in the census in 1810 in St Ann's Parish, Albemarle, VA.85 He appeared in the census in 1820 in Albemarle Co, VA.87 On 5 December 1825 Jeremiah became the ward of appt guardian of brother Frederick in Albemarle Co, VA288 [Couple] posted marriage banns on 20 October 1828 in Albemarle Co, VA.289 He owned Land adjacent to McDonald's - later Bunch in December 1830 in Louisa Co, VA.264 He sold Sells right to land from estate of Richard Roberts in Albemarle Co, VA on 30 January 1834.290 Deed Book 31, Pages 268, 269

county of Albemarle and State of Virginia of the one part and Frederick Roberts
of the County of Albemarle an State of Virginia of the other part:  Witnesseth
that the said Jeremiah Roberts and his wife Lucy M Roberts in consideration
of the sum of four hundred dollars to them in hand paid the receipt of
which they do hereby acknowledge hath granted bargained and sold
and by these presents do grant bargain and sell all their right title
and interest in a certain piece or parcel of land lying being and
situated in the County of Albemarle and State of Virginia being the land
upon which Elizabeth Roberts now resides and to which she is entitled
to a life Estate -  To Have and To Hold the said piece or parcel of land
to the proper use and behoof of the said Frederick Roberts his heirs and
assigns forever.  And the said Jeremiah Roberts and Lucy M his wife for
themselves their heirs exers and admrs do covenant and agree that the half
of the said land upon which the said Elizabeth Roberts now resides and
Estate for life to which she is entitled is clear and free of all incumbrances
whatsoever,that their title is undisputed and that they will warrant and defend the same forever:  In Testimony whereof they have hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals

This sheriff Deed made this 9th day of April AD 1852 by and between Mathew Givens Sheriff of the county of Pike in the State of Missouri of the first part and Jeremiah Roberts of the second part (Witnesseth) whereas the circuit court in and for said County at its April Term AD 1851 made an order in the Matter of Almond T Vaughan and the heirs of Horatio T Kent against Thomas W Thurston defendant commanding said Sheriff to sell to the highest bidder the real estate therein mentioned to wit Lot No one hundred and ninety eight (198) in the Town of Clarksville in said county & said did in obedience to said order on the 17th day of May AD 1851 offer the same for sale between the hours of 9 and 5 oclock of that day and in the same town of Clarksville according to said order after having given at least Twenty days previous notice of the time and place of said sale of what real estate was to be sold and where situated by printed hand bills put up in at least six of the most public places in the county of Pike and the party of the second part being the highest bidder for the price and sum of thirty six dollars became the purchaser thereof Now therefore know ye that in consideration of the premises and for the said sum of money to me paid the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge I have sold assigned and transferred and by these presents do sell assign and transfer to said party of the Second part his heirs and assigns forever all the right title and interest which the said petitioner and defendant had in and to Said real estate so far as I may or can by law sell assign and transfer the same by virtue of the premises aforesaid to have and to hold forever. This Sheriffs Deed made and executed this 4th day of March AD 1860 by and between Masten H. Arthur Sheriff of Pike County in the State of Missouri party of the first part and John O. Roberts James B Roberts Richard M Roberts Ellen L Downing & Caroline V Roberts of Said County of the Second part Witnesseth that whereas the circuit Court of Said County at its September Term AD 1858 in the matter of Joseph W Brown against Thomas F Boseley and others Petition for Partition made an order that the Sheriff Sell the real estate hereinafter described lying in Said Pike County Missouri on the following terms to wit on twelve months Credit In Obedience to Said Order. Two Days in Pike County:
"...we drove north to Little Ramsay Creek and found the farm where Jeremiah Roberts moved before his daughter Ellen Lewis was born in 1839. He moved over to Little Ramsay to be near his father -in-law, John Fagg, who with his family had moved out from Albemarle County, Virginia in November 1837."

Mary Ann Roberts was not the daughter of Jeremiah and Lucy - she was the daughter of Joseph Roberts. This is clearly proven by the census reports for both families.
