Quinton ROBERTS was born on 6 April 1838 in Shelby Co, TN.^71,74 Quinton's death certificate lists his birth date as 6 Apr 1838 - however, the age at death (2 Jan 1915) was 77 years 4 months 4 days. When calculated, Quinton would have been born on 29 Aug 1837. He owned 50 acres worth $1200 on 22 December 1881 in Shelby Co, TN.⁵⁵ ⁷⁵ ⁷⁶ ⁷⁷ Description of land: A tract or parcel of land situated and being in the County of Shelby, State of Tennessee, and bounded as follows in Range 5 Sec 1 Beginning at a stake in the Holly Ford Road with Elm pointers thence east thirty chains & fifty links to a stake in Quinton Roberts North Boundary line with Post Oak pointers thence north with fence row six chains & seventy six links to a stake in fence row & corner to Howard Roberts. Thence west thirty chains & fifty links to a stake on the east side of the Holly Ford Road and corner to Howard Roberts. Thence south with aforesaid Holly Ford Road to the beginning containing twenty acres more or less. ⁷⁸ He sold as Trustee of the Advent Christian Church in Shelby Co, TN on 10 January 1911.⁷⁹ Quinton died on 2 January 1915 at the age of 76 in Germantown, Shelby, TN.^74,80 He was buried on 3 January 1915 in Germantown Cemetery, Germantown, Shelby, TN.⁷⁴

Emma ROBERTS was born on 10 June 1873 in Tennessee.⁸² On 25 November 1914 she acquired in Shelby Co, TN⁸⁷ Bounded on the north by Sam & Henry Meacham & Sallie M Scott on the east by Sallie M Scott on the south by Lula Hawkins on the west by Holly Ford Road combining 20 acres being the north part of 50 acre tract conveyed by F T Scott and his wife Sallie M Scott to Quinton Roberts & wife - situated in the old 11th now the 3rd District She appeared in the census in 1920 at Dist 3 in Shelby Co, TN.⁸⁸ Emma signed a will on 16 February 1932 in Shelby Co, TN.⁸⁹ I, Emma Roberts do make and declare this my last will and testament. I give and bequeath to my niece(sic) Eunis Whitney Ten acres of the land I own near German Town Shelby County Tennessee in fee simple, the part with the house on it. I give to my niece(sic) Carrie Crittle five acres of the same tract lying directly south of the home place fronting on the public road. I give five acres to my three sisters, Mattie Turner, Carrie Harris and Gazella Glover to be equally devided(sic) between them I appoint Eunice Whitney of this my will without bond she is excused making report or settlement with court. I do this my last will and testament, this Feb. 16th 1932. Emma Roberts Signed in our presence as and for the last will testament of the testatrix in our presence we signed her presence in the presence of each other and at her request.
