33. Elizabeth ROBERTS was born about 1765 in Amherst Co, VA. Based on the wording of her marriage document referring to John Sr, it has been largely assumed that it was John Alexander Roberts. However, just a cursory look at the time frames makes it immediately clear that she could not have been John A Roberts' daughter unless he married a second time - and I've found no reason to believe that - however, that is certainly credible. She died before 1848 at the age of 83 in Amherst Co, VA.^232,233 Many researchers have decided that the Elizabeth Henson that died in Georgia is this Elizabeth. Murry Henson died - apparently without a wife as she was not mentioned - nor were any of his other children except son Elliott and grandson Roderick. And there is nothing to suggest that she ever migrated from Virginia to Georgia - however, one of Murry's brothers did.

I am assuming that she died prior to his death because she is not mentioned in the will or the probate. I have this listed as the daughter of John A Roberts Sr - just like the document says - but I'm very skeptical about this - I think this is almost the next generation - or some dates (can prove which ones) are incorrect. Or this is the wrong Elizabeth...
She is not mentioned in John's will - only Polly, Sarah and Susannah - which really makes me question this. But the marriage record puts her here. Will keep researching this.

Elizabeth ROBERTS and Murry HENSON were married on 11 September 1797 in Amherst Co, VA.¹² They¹² appeared in the census in 1810 in Amherst Co, VA.²³⁴ They²³⁴ appeared in the census in 1820 in Amherst Co, VA.²³⁵ Elizabeth and Murry²³⁵ appeared in the census in 1830 in Amherst Co, VA.²³⁶ They²³⁶ appeared in the census in 1840 in Amherst Co, VA.²³⁷ Murry HENSON, son of John HENSON and Elizabeth PACE, was born about 1775 in Amherst Co, VA.^{237 238,239} On 12 July 1807 he acquired 100 ac from John Roberts in Amherst Co, VA²⁴⁰ He owned lines adjacent to Jonathan Roberts on 18 September 1815 in Amherst Co, VA.^{109 111 241} Murry signed a will on 24 July 1848 in Amherst Co, VA.^232,233 I Murray Henson being weak in body but of a sound disposing mind doth will and bequeath the following property viz.
Item 1st I direct that all my Just debts be paid
2nd now if my Son Elliott Henson and my Grand Son Rodrick will pay the above named debts, I doth will my entire estate to the two viz two thirds to my Son Elliott Henson and the remaining third to my grand son Rodrick Henson
