Know all men by these presents that I Mary Roberts of the County of Scott & State of Virginia for & in Consideration of the natural love and affection which I bear to James M. Bellomy of the County and State aforesaid, as well as for the further consideration of ten dollars to me in hand paid by the said James M. Bellomy at or before the ensealing and delivery of these presents (the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged) have given
& granted and by these presents do give and grant unto the said James M. Bellomy his Executors, administrators and assigns One Certain tract or parcel of land lying & being in the County of Louisa & State of Virginia, Containing One hundred Acres (be the same more or less) On the East Side of the Columbia road adjoining the land of Charles B. Hunton & the land which formerly belonged to John Waid, and which the said Waid sold to Majr David Watson in or about, the year AD 1817 being the tract or parcel of land which Morris Roberts (father of the said Mary Roberts) bequeathed to her by his last will and testament and being the tract or parcel of land whereon the said James M. Bellomy resided for the last four or five years previous to he removal from the said County of Louisa to the said County of Scott in Virginia to include all the improvements thereon of every discription(sic) with all and singular the privileges & apurtenances(sic) thereto belonging or in any wise appertaining To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land unto the said James M. Bellomy his Executors, administrators and assigns forever. And further the said Mary Roberts for & in Consideration of the Causes aforesaid Viz the natural love and affection she bears to the said James M. Bellomy & the payment of the ten dollars aforesaid; hath further given & granted & by these presents doth give and grant, into the said James M Bellomy the following person property (to wit) One feather bed & one pair of bed steads, one large stone butter pot, One stone pitcher and one large spinning (or cotton) wheel which was left in possession of Jane and Elizabeth Bellomy by the said Mary Roberts when she removed from Louis in Virginia in the year 1817 and also one eight gallon pot left by the said Mary Roberts at the same time in possession of William R Bellomy father of the said James M. Bellomy) And the said Mary Roberts for herself her Executors and administrators the said tract or parcel of land and person property; unto the said James M. Bellomy his executors administrators and assigns against the claim of her the said Mary Roberts her executors & administrators and against the claim or claims of all and every other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and for ever defend by these presents. In witness whereof the said Mary Roberts hath hereunto set her hand and affix’d her seal this twenty second day of July Anno Domini 1825

Virginia At a Court of Quarterly Session Continued and held for Scott County at the Courthouse thereof the 9th day of November 1825 this Indenture of writing in the nature of a deed of gift from Mary Roberts to James M. Bellomy was proved in Court by the oaths of Michael Dickert, Ichabud Rockers and William Hopkins subscribing witness thereto. And ordered to be Certified to the Clerk of the County Court of Louisa in this State in Order that the same may be recorded In testimony whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name (there being no seal of office) this 19th day of November in the
year 1825 and of the Commonwealth the fiftieth.

James Morris BELLOMY and Priscilla BELLOMY were married on 18 January 1813 in Goochland Co, VA.428,429,430 They428,429,430 appeared in the census in 1820 in Scott Co, VA.431 They431 appeared in the census in 1830 in Scott Co, VA.432 James and Priscilla432 appeared in the census in 1840 in Hawkins Co, TN.433,434 They433,434 appeared in the census in 1850 at District 6 in Hawkins, TN.419 They419 appeared in the census in 1860 in Dist 6, Hawkins Co, TN.435 James and Priscilla435 appeared in the census in 1870 in Dist 6, Hawkins Co, TN.436 Priscilla BELLOMY, daughter of Bradley BELLOMY and Elizabeth SALMON, was born on 2 January 1793 in VA.437,438 She died on 1 May 1871 at the age of 78.428,437,439,440 She was buried after 1 May 1871 at Bellamy Cemetery in Hawkins Co, TN.437,441

Mary Elizabeth BELLOMY was born on 6 May 1833 in Scott Co, VA.419,445 She died on 6 September 1898 at the age of 65 in Hawkins Co, TN.445,446,447 Real contradiction on dates - sure the family is right but cannot determine where the error is. Headstone reads death 6 Sept 1893 - will written 1899. She was buried after 6 September 1898 at Bellamy Cemetery in Hawkins Co, TN.445,446 Mary signed a will on 28 August 1899 in Hawkins Co, TN.448 Mary E. Bellamy
I, Mary E. Bellamy, knowing the uncertainties of life and the certainties of death, and now being of sound mind and disposing memory, do make this my last will and testament.
Whereas I am possessed of a tract or parcel of land, being the same on which I now live, lying in the 6th Civil District of Hawkins County Tennessee and adjoining lands of Geo. Smith, J M Bellamy & perhaps others, being the lands that I inherited from my late father J M Bellamy. Said tract contains forty five acres be the same more or less.
I am also possessed of household and Kitchen furniture and also one note on Geo. Smith for thirty five dollars, forty cents dated Jan the 11th 1895, subject to a credit of five dollars April 19 1897.
I hereby bequeath that out of the above named property first, that my indebtedness and Doctor bills and burial expenses be paid, (2) For love and gratitude to my beloved niece Elizabeth Jane Bellamy. I bequeath the remainder of the above named property to have and to hold the same as she sees fit. This testament to take effect immediately after my decease. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal, this the twenty eighth day of August, Eighteen Hundred and Ninety Nine
