56. Henry NORWOOD was born in 1726 in New York, NY, NY.³⁴³ He was baptized on 7 December 1726 at Reformed Dutch Church in New York, NY, NY.³⁴⁴ He was victim in case of theft in 1749 in Hunterdon Co, NJ.³⁴⁵ At Elizabeth Township, Town Ward in Essex County, NJ in 1779 .³⁴⁶

Henry NORWOOD and Margery THOMPSON were married on 8 June 1759 in Perth Amboy, NJ.³⁴⁷ Know all Men by these Presents, that we Henry Norwood of New York Marriner and Isaac Doty of Staton Island yeaoman holden, and do stand justly indebted unto His Excelly Francis Bernard Esq Gov of New Jersey in the sum of Five Hundred pounds of current lawful Money of New-Jersey; to be paid to his said Excellency Francis Bernard Esq his Successor or Assings; for the which Payment, well and truly to be made and done, we do bind our selves our Heirs, Executors, and Administrators, and every of them, jointly & severally firly by these Presents, Sealed with our Seals: Dated this Eighth Day of June Anno domini One Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty nine.
The Condition of this Obligation is such, That whereas the above-bounden Henry Norwood hath obtained Licence of Marriage for himself of the one Party, and for Margery Thompson of Perth Amboy Spinster of the other Party: Now, if it shall not hereafter appear, that they the said Henry and Margery have any lawful Let or Impediment, of Pre-contract, Affinity or Consanguinity, to hinder their being joined in the Holy Bands of Matrimony, and afterwards their living together as Man and Wife; then this Obligation to be void, or else to stand and remain in full Force and Virtue.
